I&#...I probably have a fairly unique perspective... I've seen every (well, almost) episode of vintage Who, but The Day of The Doctor is the one and only new Who to have graced my eyeballs. It was pretty great. Makes me want to see more of the last few years.
Venger Satanishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04447932700800930510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228796520687220841.post-44010128776714541442013-11-27T12:01:11.345+00:002013-11-27T12:01:11.345+00:00Loved it. It was an one hour and sixteen minute long continuous squee-fest, and when Tom Baker had his appearance I literally jumped out of my chair and cheered. I for one will be sorry to see Matt Smith go (my favourite Doctor besides Tom Baker), but this was definitely one of the hight points of the show for me, worthy of its fiftieth anniversary. And ditto on the Christmas Special, even though it means good bye to Matt Smith.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228796520687220841.post-24072110602406490062013-11-26T13:16:36.081+00:002013-11-26T13:16:36.081+00:00I enjoyed it immensely. I would have loved a Captain Jack cameo (at least he got a mention), and wish Eccleston could have been there alongside Rose, but having Baker show up as the curator was a brilliant.

I though The Time War looked amazing (really, some of their best effects in a very long time), the chemistry of the three Doctors was great, and the way they changed their own shared history was really quite clever.

I've never been a fan of Matt Smith either - I cringed at his unnecessary cameo in An Adventure in Space and Time - but I came away from this with a better appreciation for his story arc. That said, bring on Peter Capaldi! :)Bob/Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07830145891314387373noreply@blogger.com
